System Integration Engineer
The department
The department project engineering is responsible for the delivery of projects where the various components from our baggage handling systems are realized.
These components consist of (electro-)mechanical equipment to controls and planning software and monitoring systems. The System Integration Manager is responsible for the definition, delivery and integration of these components and ensures that a complete working system is delivered to customers in line with their requirements.
The function
As a System Integration Engineer, you are responsible to implement and execute the integration strategy for the project in a pragmatic manner. You cooperate with the project leader(s) with regards to the System Integration focus areas: requirement management, change management, configuration management and test and validation. You use these focus areas as tools for quality control / quality assurance and to identify and report potential issues in an early stage.
Your responsibilities:
· Manage requirements in VI’s requirement management tooling
· Execute compliancy analyses between customer requirements and VI standards
· Conduct and enforce change- and configuration management.
· Produce test designs based on requirements and identified risks
· Participate and supervise test and validation activities, both in house (factory) and on site
· Report and analyse test results, and verify solutions
Your background
· You have a technical master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems and Control, Technical Business Administration
· You are familiar with test and validation, both in test design and execution
· You are pragmatic and can balance quality, lead time, costs and technology
· You have strong analytical skills
· You are proactive and take initiative
