Field Service Engineer - Poland

The Department

 

The Service DPP department is part of the business unit Distribution Parcel & Post within the Vanderlande Industries organization. The business unit DPP has a worldwide customer portfolio. In close cooperation with our customers the Service DPP department is developing a range of service products that fulfill the need of our customers to keep their material handling systems operational in the best way possible in order to achieve maximum performance, availability and reliability. The department has the responsibility for the implementation and execution of those services at our customers. The goal for Vanderlande Industries is to supply the “best in class” service so we are able to improve the competitive position of our customers.

 

The job

 

As Field Service Engineer you will visit customer sites in the East European region. You will prepare your visits by studying technical data such as system log files and information from previous visits. You are responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance tasks as contractually agreed with the customer. In case of system break downs you are available to respond and carry out corrective maintenance tasks in order to restore the system operation in an efficient and effective manner.  As the Vanderlande Industries is representative at the customer's site, you act as an ambassador for Vanderlande, maintain good customer relations, report to the customer and advise on ways to further improve the performance of the Material Handling Systems.

Your role

 

In this function as Field Service Engineer you will report to the

local Service Manager of Vanderlande Industries. 

 

Your profile

  

·         Preferably you are living in the area of Lodz, Poland.

·        You are fluent in the Polish language and you have a business command of English language.

·         Middle level of technical education, preferably in electrical engineering.

·         3-5 years experience in field service engineering with mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities.

·         Ability to work under stress situations.

·         Respond to failures in an efficient and effective manner.

·         Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for electrical and mechanical components.

·         Using electro-mechanical fault finding techniques, signal measurement knowledge.

·         Ability to read and interpret PLC and SCADA information.

·         Knowledge and experience of distribution systems, order picking systems is also a plus.

·         Pro-active working attitude, solution driven and a strong customer support approach.

·         Flexible to work out-of-office hours and available to travel to customer sites.
